3 Year LL.B Course

Course of Study

The teaching and instructions shall be in accordance with the Bar Council of India Rules. The candidates admitted to the course shall pursue the courses of study.

Duration of the Course

The duration of the course leading to the Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B) shall be of three academic Year. Each academic year comprises of 2 semesters

Each Semester shall consist of 18 Weeks. The papers and the syllabus are given after admission.

1st semester

  1. Constitutional Law – l
  2. Law of Contracts – (Contract – l)
  3. Family Law – l
  4. Law of Crimes Paper – l (Indian Penal Code)
  5. Law of Tort including MV Accident and Consumer Protection Laws

2nd semester

  1. Constitutional Law – ll
  2. Specific Contracts (Contract – ll)
  3. Family Law – ll
  4. Company Law
  5. Property Law

3rd semester

  1. Administrative Law
  2. Environmental Law
  3. Labour Law – l
  4. Public International Law
  5. Professional Ethics and Professional Accounting System (Clinical/Practical)

4th semester

  1. Law of Evidence
  2. Law of Crime – ll (Criminal Procedure Code)
  3. Civil Procedure Code and Limitation Act
  4. Labour Law – ll
  5. Alternate Dispute Resolution (Clinical/Practical)

5th semester

  1. Jurisprudence Any three of the optional papers given in Schedule -A (i)

5 Year B.A, LL.B. Course

Duration of the Course

B.A. LL.B. integrated degree course, combines. The duration of the course leading to the Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) shall be of five academic Year. Each academic year comprises of two semesters.

A student who successfully completes the five year LLB. Course shall be eligible for the award of the Degree B.A.LL.B.

Thus a student of B.LL.B has to study 20 libreal discipline (BA) papers and 30 Law papers. In all a student of BA.LL.B has to study 50 papers.
